Senior Project Construction Manager

PGS – Construction / Installation Manager for Petro Global Services (PGS – Client Representative). Duties are to select & manage the following teams for the conversion of an oil tanker into an FPSO. This includes the selection of various fabrication yards both in China & Dubai. The selected teams included but not limited to construction / installation personnel, which consisted of engineers, superintendents, supervisors & construction workforce leads. I ‘m also responsible to manage and direct all contractors / sub-contractor management provided by Yui Lian Shipyard in China & the second phase in DDW / Dubai. The conversion of an oil tanker into an FPSO consisted of tank modifications, under deck stiffening, deck modifications, accommodations, new helideck and flare tower, dry docking and all marine equipment and hull. Second phase in Dubai consisted of topside preparations, installation of skid-modules and all tie-ins of which included E-House, power generation, two topside steam boilers, process vessels / separators and all pipework. After mechanical completion was achieved my responsibilities included the management of pre-commissioning, commissioning of all systems ready for final handover to operations to achieve first oil. This included all close out and final documentation.

Amec Foster Wheeler – Project Manager – Responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the Power Generation Upgrade Project, on the Dunlin Alpha Platform, based in Aberdeen. I manage a multi discipline offshore team in addition to directing onshore personnel that consist of engineering, construction, project controls, logistics, commercial, HSE, QA/QC and project engineering employees. This role requires for scheduling, costing, resourcing, tooling, development and contract management of entire scope.



Senior Project Manager

Petrofac – Senior Project Manager – Talisman Energy, my duties are to select and manage the following teams for modifications and new build for Talisman assets. Design construction and commissioning managers / engineers with their associated workforce, this also includes all offshore supervision and workforce, contract teams and their management. Technical duties includes but not limited to the management and overview of the top-side package design through to build, then installation of the said packages pipe-work and associated equipment including claymore compression upgrade (CCU) module, local equipment room (LER) onto various Talisman assets. To understand and drive all planned activities to meet milestones provided in a safe and controlled manner. To manage and overview all cost estimate and final approval of contracts, program and build base line plans for execution of all 4 projects GEAD, Tartan MOL and CCU the CCU Claymore Compression upgrade module is being built in Holland at HSE ship yard then integration to Claymore platform is scheduled for August 2013.



Construction Commissioning Topside Manager

Tullow Oil – Construction Commissioning Topside Manager – Based initially in the Tullow office in London then mobilised to Houston Texas reviewing design drawings for topside packages for FPSO. Then bringing together a Construction and commissioning team to execute the testing of the said topside packages for the Jubilee project activities on the FPSO, Kwame Nkrumah. This also included visits to Paris to oversee the preparation of HUC activities in readiness for first oil. Then transferred to Singapore to carry out the following work scope/ duties. My duties were to manage and control a team of engineers and supervisors to carry out the fabrication and erection of all topside modules and packages in preparation for the integration to the FPSO. Then on completion from the fabrication yards organise the integration of the said packages and modules in a safe and efficient manor at JSL shipyard Singapore. Upon the completion of the module integration I was responsible for the commissioning team to carry out and oversee all Mechanical Completion (MC), Energise and livening up of Equipment, Pre Commissioning, then Commissioning including running of compressors, Water Injection units etc. Further responsibilities included acceptance of all documentation ready for hand-over and start-up First Oil.

Project Manager - Client Representative

Nexen – Project Manager – Client Representative – Based initially in the Nexen office in London reviewing drawings, then mobilised to Thailand, South East Asia Sattahip Royal Naval Yard. My duties were to manage and supervise a team of engineers and to carry out the fabrication and erection of 5 top-side modules for the FPSO “Aoka Mizu” bound for the North Sea. On completion of the modules in Thailand, I was transferred to Singapore (Sembewang Ship Yard) for the integration of the said modules onto the FPSO, my duties were to control and manage the integration of the modules onto the vessel, and then continued to manage and oversee all mechanical completion (MC), pre-commissioning and commissioning activities carried out by contract company, on completion of the work-scope in Singapore (Sembewang) I was responsible for reviewing and accepting all documentation to gain first oil. Sailed from Singapore to Suez Canal my duties were to look after the commissioning of the vessel and top-side modules with a team of engineers and workforce. This scope of work carried 8000 man hours and was successfully completed ready for hook-up activities.



Construction Manager

Swan Hunter Shipyad – Construction Manager – My responsibilities include but were not limited to the day-to-day fabrication of ship 141 and ship 142 ALSL (Alternative Landing Ships Logistics). The two ships are 60 thousand tonne each and my work scope was to co-ordinate the complete build with a team of engineers and superintendents, which would drive the work force to achieve completion targets. I was also responsible for Outfitting of all ships equipment including 4 main engines. All sub-contractors would report their progress on a daily basis to achieve the end target. This would lead to final handover to commissioning and Ministry Of Defence as a complete build.
