Electrical Commissioning Technician
Electrical Commissioning Technician – Suncor Energy – Verify and review the Electrical Heat Trace operations on process piping prior to Gross Air Leak Tests, Nitrogen introduction, and O2 free purging. Review and walk down of the process piping system including correct valve lineups and positioning. Execute the Gross Air Leak Test (GALT), O2 free testing, and Nitrogen purging. Sign-off on the valve lineups, the positioning of valve lineups, procedures for GALTs, and O2 free tests along with Nitrogen test verification. Process P&ID reviews and 3D model verification (NAVIS WORKS 2015). Initiate the overall testing and electrical support along with the operational support of process piping prior to the introduction of the commodity into said process systems. Review and execute commissioning procedures including implementing redlines. Introduce inventoried process commodities required for bitumen production. Participate in CHEP (Control of Hazardous Energy and Permit to Work) activities.
