-10 Years Experience as a Lead Instrument Commissioning Technician an Instrumentation Commissioning professional that is self-motivated and hard working. I have worked on a range of Instrumentation, Control systems, Telecommunication, Metering and Fire & Gas systems, reporting directly to Project Engineers and Managers. I am proficient in Permit to Work and risk assessment systems having worked with both paper and electronic systems. Competent and confident working as an individual as well as working as part of a larger team, liaising with technicians of multiple disciplines to achieve tasks within tight deadlines. I have experience in both Greenfield and Brownfield commissioning work scopes using GOC work packs, hot and cold loop checking with end to end testing of instrumentation systems, reporting to the project engineer, and handover of documentation and instrumentation systems. Personal and career development is important to me and I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronics through the Open University.





Daily Rate $500.00

Lead Instrument Commissioning Technician

Lead Instrument Commissioning Technician – BP Clair Ridge – Carrying out hot and cold loop checking and calibration of instrumentation and systems. Completing cause and effect and Safety Instrument Function (SIF) testing of systems. Testing of equipment from field to Delta V ICSS system and Vendor Control systems. Carrying out static and dynamic testing on the Mud Control System. Creating work packs by collating relevant engineering documentation. Provide support to other disciplines where required to form part of a multi-discipline team. Providing input on any modifications made to equipment or systems for updating ‘as-built’ drawing status and reporting changes to onshore discipline engineers. Working with NOV on Dynamic commissioning of the Cyberbase network and Drill floor equipment, adhering to BP’s commissioning procedures and signing off a necessary. Carrying out Site Integration Tests (SIT) for commissioned equipment to hand over to the client. Carrying out System Handover testing(SH1) and signing relevant documentation and ensure all procedures are fully complete.



Instrument Commissioning Technician

Instrument Commissioning Technician – Brae Alpha Installation – Cold loop checking, testing continuity and insulation of cables and cores. Hot loop checking, testing functionality between field instruments and the ESD panel and between field instruments and the Honeywell Experion DCS. Pre-commissioning testing of HP compressor and associated anti-surge instrumentation and recycle valve. Working to GOC work packs. Reviewing and Red Lining engineering documentation. Creating new as built diagrams and liaising with the Engineer overseeing the work scope. Fault finding and repairs for completion and system handover.



Instrument Technician

NEXEN CNOOC – Instrument Technician – Buzzard Installation – Responsible for testing, maintenance and repair of instrument and control systems throughout the platform. Carry out repair and Planned Maintenance of safety systems, PSD, ESD, F&G, Metering and HVAC in accordance to procedure and performance standards. Adhere to Nexen’s Safe System of Work and raising new permits when required. Recording all aspects of work carried out correctly within SAP as well as raising new notifications for faulty equipment and return for repair. Maintenance of pressure, level, flow, temperature measurement devices, control valve assemblies as well as fire and gas systems. Maintaining and fault finding on Bently Nevada proximity and vibration probes on series 3300/3500 Machinery Monitoring systems. Interrogate GE Fanuc series 90-70 PLC’s for Power Generation Gas Turbines and relay information to onshore Engineers. Co-ordinate larger job scopes with other disciplines such as the mechanical and electrical department. Provide support and maintenance on ABB ICSS (DCS). Qualified as Competent Electrical Person (CEP) authorised for isolation of electrical equipment up to 254V AC and 110V DC and verify isolations up to 440V AC.
Liaise and co-ordinate jobs with vendors, and act as Performing Authority for tasks such as installation and commissioning of new equipment.
